It's not just about fertility...

Because I have a specialty in fertility and hormones I take care of a lot of teenagers having menstrual problems, which are usually hormonal issues. Their hormones aren't working right.

I also see a lot of women who are going through their mid-40's to early 50's and having trouble with the change of life.

I really like helping women who have irregular menstrual cycles and imbalances in their hormones. And also I try to help people who have recurrent miscarriages or who go through early menopause -- premature ovarian failure.

I really feel for the women who have cancer, and nowadays because women are delaying child bearing, it's a little more likely that when women end up with a diagnosis for cancer, they haven't had their kids yet. And so we're trying to be a little more proactive at getting them to store their eggs or make embryos before they go through chemotherapy.

Why Us?

"I view myself as a gynecologist/medical doctor first and a fertility specialist really as my subspecialty from that."

I'm very comprehensive. I try to get as extensive a family history as I can and a fairly significant history on the patient. Numerous patients have said, "Nobody's ever taken such an extensive history before."

And that goes for my regular GYN patients as well as my fertility clinic, because I really think there's so much you can glean from a history. You learn about somebody's background family history and you may find things that nobody thought related to fertility, that really do relate to it or to other medical problems.

I've diagnosed a lot of thyroid disfunction and even some fairly rare disorders. Sometimes right after fixing these things, they get pregnant.

A lot of practices are so geared up for invitro that they don't hear the whole story. I really think this is what makes me different from so many fertility clinics out there. Listening.
